Have you got it what it takes?
Over the past couple of years we have noticed a decrease in marathon rowing activity. We think there are several good reasons for this:
- It's a pretty crazy thing to do and you don't get much recognition for it.
- The records have become so steep that it takes a well-trained collegiate crew team in a highly orchestrated challenge to set a new mark.
- The time commitment is significant - especially for the longest continual row event, which is up to a record of 17 days!
Marathon and Ultra Rowing are not for everyone, but many customers enjoy the challenge of going for the long distance. For a team, a club or a group of co-workers, it becomes an excellent team-building experience. Marathon rowing has also been used very successfully to raise funds for a variety of causes and offers a memorable experience.
For all these reasons, we'd like to support the growth of marathon rowing by offering the following:
Recognition for All Finishers
Whether you set a record or not, you deserve recognition for just finishing a marathon. All marathon rows are now included annually into the Australian Rankings.
