The CrossFit Pacific Regionals (Australia and Asia) took place in Wollongong over the weekend of May 22.  This event was the last stop before we move toward the pinnacle event of the sport: The CrossFit Games, held at the end of July in Carson, California.

Over the past month, thousands have tuned in to watch the fittest CrossFit athletes from around the world grind through seven gruelling events over three days. From rope climbs to handstand walks to muscle ups and just about everything in-between (including a 25 calorie row!), these athletes displayed strength, agility and determination as their physical abilities were put to the test.

The Regionals introduced higher skill movements, as well as heavier loading and higher reps. It all came down to this weekend where athletes fought it out for the five qualifying spots to the CrossFit Games and for the chance to become ‘The Fittest on Earth’.

Congratulations to Khan Porter, Kara Webb and Schwartz’s CrossFit Melbourne on taking out their respective divisions and a special mention to the athletes who qualified and booked themselves a ticket to the CrossFit Games.

We're looking forward to watching more great feats of athleticism at the Games starting July 24. Best of luck to all!
