Concept2 oars are available with adjustable composite handles, fixed composite handles and traditional wood handles. The types of grips available to you depend on what handle you choose, so read carefully to ensure you make compatible choices.
Handle Types
Adjustable Composite
Our 5cm adjustable handle lets you easily change the overall length of your oar by adjusting the outer grip in or out on the handle.
Unique Features
- Easy to adjust oar length
- Redundant design for safety: The grip has an indexing screw, clamp screw and is keyed to the handle to prevent rotation
- Continuous choice of settings over the entire five centimeter range. Each turn of the adjusting screw results in a length change of approximately 0.25 centimeters
- Oars are marked at the handle to indicate overall length of the oar in centimeters
- Worn grips or damaged parts are easily replaced
- Low-stress, wiggle-free connection withstands heavy use and extends the life of the handle
Fixed Composite
Fixed composite handles are available in one size with Ultralight shafts only. Choose fixed length handles only if you are certain you will not need to change the length of your oars.
Fixed Wood
Traditional basswood handles are available in three sizes (39 mm, 42 mm, 45 mm) with ultralight shafts only. Choose wood handles only if you are certain you will not need to change the length of your oars. Wood handles can be sanded or scored as desired.
