On A Regular Basis
Inspect the Cords
There is one drive cord and one bungee cord to inspect. It will be easier if you have another person to help you, and a flashlight can be useful to see damage more clearly.
- Move the carriage to the far end of the rail and engage the brake (1) to hold it in place.
- Grab the pull bar and slowly pull it all the way out, which should be just past the seat.
- While a helper holds it, inspect the entire visible length of the white drive cord, paying careful attention to the section visible between the two halves of the monorail.
- While the handle is still extended, take a flashlight look between the two halves of the monorail at the right side. Inspect the bungee cords running back-and-forth through pulleys and inspect it for wear.=

From left-to-right the photo depicts a new handle cord; a handle cord with an acceptable amount of wear; a handle cord with excessive wear that needs to be replaced.
